We're baaaaaack!
After a 10 day break, The Late Night Ramble is back with a bang. It was a pleasure to speak to former Worcestershire CC captain and current PCA Chairman, Daryl Mitchell. We talked all things Cricket and Aston Villa including the impact of COVID on professional sport, Daryl's Cricket career, the Liverpool FA cup game and a preview of the upcoming game against Manchester City.
It wouldn't be a Late Night Ramble without another edition of Didier Six. See if Mitch could convince me to put in the Remi Garde era, Saturday lunchtime kick-offs and Ross McCormack into Aston Villa's version of Room 101.

The first Late Night Ramble of 2021 welcomed Rod Humble to talk about his experiences of supporting Aston Villa in the US over the last 30 years. Rod is well known for his work in the gaming industry as the former CEO of Second Life creator Linden Lab and Head of EA Play where he was the man responsible for the Sims franchise of games. He is now at Paradox Interactive where he heads up their studio, Paradox Tectonic.
Rod discussed his Villa history including keeping up to date with the team in the US in the 90s, his love for Tony Daley and finally being able to speak loudly about his team in San Fransisco.
We also previewed the upcoming FA Cup tie against Liverpool and Rod gave his thoughts on how he would approach the game.
Finally, it wouldn't have been a Late Night Ramble without another edition of Didier Six!

Aston Villa ended 2020 in resilient fashion with a hard-fought draw against Chelsea. Villa came back a goal down to get another point on the road and are now 5th in the league. Chadsy and Jugsy provided their words of wisdom on Villa's display and previewed the game against Man Utd on New Years Day.

Welcome to this very special edition of The Late Night Ramble and our second YouTube video. One of the greatest Aston Villa Premier League era players, Dwight Yorke, joined us for an in-depth look at this Aston Villa career and that transfer saga to Manchester United. We discussed everything from his first encounter with the late Graham Taylor to his hopes for Aston Villa and his own career.
Although not discussed on air, it was obvious to tell that Dwight saw his move to Birmingham City as a low point in his career. On the flip side, Dwight saw his success at Aston Villa every bit as important as his success at Manchester United. He saw Aston Villa as his club!
Dwight has very rarely featured on Aston Villa fan content so this is one not to be missed. Please do check it out on YouTube as well.
